Ok so I had a drive crash 2 days ago and I had to move some hardware around i my case. I removed a PCI USB card and installed a sound card. Now I had no problem with my mouse and monitors hubs before but for some reason considering I had to move them to other usb ports they need to have the hardware drivers reinstalled. Thats fine. Here is the kicker when I run the hardware wizard it will not install any drivers. Not even for a basic USB optical mouse. It says it can't find software and there was a problem installing the driver. I tried getting the drivers from the company and install them and that does not even work. Does anyone have any idea how to help me? I am at my wits end and am very frustrated. Thanks.

Hi JukEboX, When you save you had a "drive crash" I take it your HDD is U/S??
Did you have to renew the HDD? If so, you would have to reinstall OS? and possibly M/B drivers and any other Hardware from CD etc? You probably need to explain a little more. Neil.

I have trid the drivers from the CDs and from downloads. They do not work at all. Its like the Hardware Setup Wizard only searches my CD drive and floppy drive and then gives up. It doesn't search th rough the driver cache. Here is an example of what i tried last night

I plugged in a basic laser mouse. It lights up on any of the USB plugs and the Hardware Setup Wizard loads. It searches and goes to my floppy drive and CD drive then says it can't find drivers. This is very frustrating. So now I have 3 devices and it will not load drivers. THanks
