 I just tried to use Windows Movie Maker 2 to trim down a large WMV file for CD-R recording. Though the file looks fine, the audio plays at "chipmunk" speed for no reason. This occurs when the file is imported, and nothing has been done to it.

Is there a reason for this and/or a way to slow the audio back to normal levels?

    Thanks.

    Hi Sharlene
Welcome to the boards! Have you been successful with Movie Maker previously? Perhaps some tips here?

    Daizy,

Thanks for your help. I did check this site, but it didn't really address this problem. The files in question are streaming video classes that I view on the computer. They view fine when played back in the Win Media Player, but when imported into the Movie Maker software to modify, the video is fine, but the audio is a wreck. Any other ideas? :D

    Hi again Sharlene.
I'll not even pretend to know...but I'm searching like crazy. :) Best I can suggest is to go step by step through this and see if perhaps you missed something?
