windows media player won't skip forward [Solution]

Hi,

i had this problem for a while, in media player if i tried to skip forward or backward nothing happened. Before that it was ok, the filetype was avi and the codec xvid (checked with gspot). So as suggested here i went to xvid decoder and cheched the "Compatibility Renderer ". That solved my problem. I think as you surf the net and watch videos this setting changes sometimes. So the solution would be to check the codec's decoder settings.

I just wanted to share this "knowledge" as i got the right tips here.
