Hi everyone. Everytime I click on a video file (.avi, .mov, .mpeg, etc), it asks me which program I would like to use to open it with. My options are windows Media Player, Media Player Classic, etc.

I checked the Media Player Classic program and then I checked the box that says to "Always open with Media Player Classic ". (I have codecs installed that lets me play Quicktime and Real formats through Media PLayers)

Well, even though the box is checked, it still asks me what program I wish to use and the same box keeps coming up. I know it's just a few extra clicks but it's annoying. I just thought that once I checked the option to make Media Player Classic my default player, then it wouldn't keep asking me this.

Any suggestions? Thanks for your time.

Thanks...I still haven't found the cure yet. Hopefully someone might have an idea or suggestion.
