I just convert my CD to .wma format using Windows Media Player that comes with my Windows XP. I found that it sounds great and save my hd space. I did the convertion while I was connected to Internet. What a surprise when I can't play it while I was not online because Windows Media Player search for licence. Any one knows the way to make my .wma files can be played while I am not online? Thanks.

    latest version

    hi rainplanet,

you should have gone for .mp3's, but since you are using wma, no worries, if you goto the windows media player website, + you can purchase the windows xp plus pack:)cool: or downloaded off some filesharing server, e.g. KaZaA, Grokster:cool:, etc,) , which also have the codecs. there should be some updates for your cause + if you need to burn these, nero has some codecs on it's site to convert these to .wav's.

    regards,

    reg:rolleyes:

The reason I use .wma format is I found that .wma format give me a richer sound when I try to compare the same song converted to both .wma and .mp3.

    What do you think, guys?
