Windows Media Player as default

How do I make above the default over Quicktime; or have way to choose as needed?

XP OS; Mozilla Search Engine (Windows failed).

If second post, sorry, do not know where 1st one went.

In Add/Remove programs screen on the left side, click on "Set Program access and Defaults" Expand the custom selection and scroll down to Media player. Select Windows Media Player as your default.

Open Media player and under tools options, select file types tab and click on select all.

Also go to the file you want to open, right click and select open with to open a file in a different player.

before you insert cd. open comp. insert cd see if it gives you options. if not right click the drive where the cd is -properties auto play and see if it has choices there. all i can think of. wmp is all i have used for yr's
