I am having a very irritating issue with my windows media player 11 on my windows xp operating system. the program does not show up in add or remove programs, and when i go to add/remove windows components and only check windows media player, it goes through its deleting files step, and after it gets done, it tells me to restart my computer, and when i do that, it does nothing but leaves windows media player 11 on my computer. i only want to downgrade to windows media player 10, because thats the version my dad likes most, plus my uncle likes as well seeings how im working on repairing my uncles computer at the moment, in which thats what im on. it tells me if i try the wmp11 installer i have downloaded to see what would happen that i have version 11.0.5721.5145, and that the installer 11.0.5705.5043 cannot continue.. like it wont even downgrade to the same version i do not understand I just want my windows media player 10 back. please help me!!

We don't email. This is a forum, problems are addressed here.

I have removed your email address (bad idea to post it publicly).

well.. im sorry to have made you think my problems were taken care of, but i still am having a problem with my media player uninstall. when i click on my media player icon on my desktop now, it gives a prompt to install media player 11 again with express settings or whatnot, and i download wmp10 and wmp9 installers, and on the wmp10 installer, it says that This version of Windows Media Technologies is incompatible with this version of Windows. For more information, view the information at the Microsoft web site., and when i go to install wmp9, it states Your version of Windows on this Computer already contains a more recent version of Windows Media Player. Windows Media Player 9 Series setup will now exit.... please help me!! ive tried rebooting with safe mode and appwiz.cpl to uninstalling it that way, and it told me to restart my computer to get out of safe mode and for changes to take effect, i also did the %windir%\$ntUninstallwmp11$\spuninst\spuninst.exe trick, as for that tells me that it refers to a location that is unavailable. please help me!!!!
