I am running Vista Ultimate with WMC (Windows Media Center) when I go into Pictures and Videos and select Picture Library/Folders it shows my Local Disk C: and the folders for Program Files and other folders that will never contain pictures also it is the same for Videos, I have never asked it to look inside these folders and can find no way of removing them from the list.

In Settings/Library Settings I have watched folders, C:\Users\Paul\Music etc, these are the folders I would like it to look at but they are ignored.(C:\Program Files are not in the watched list) and in any case you can only stop watching on folders and add new ones as you are unable to delete from here.

To summerise "How to I remove folders in WMC that I do not want it to look at as they are useless and contain programs and not pictures or Videos ", just one last thing I have checked in MP11 in case any weird librarys had been set up but there are none.

Well no replies in over a week but if somebody should look in here and you have some idea as how to REMOVE folders from WMC it would be appreciated.

I just opened Media Center for the first time.

At one point, it told me I could adjust the folders it searched in its Settings. Took me a while to find Settings.

When you get into the Settings, click on Stop Watching a Folder and you should be able to eliminate them there.

Yes, I agree you can stop watched folders and even add watched folders but what I require is to be able to DELETE a folder WMC is looking at like C:\Program Files and my printer, there is no option (as far as I can see) to remove these folders.

I have checked WMP in case of any library files had been set up but I have removed all and still WMC insists that my Program Files is a good place to look for Media (Pictures/Video).
