I just installed a new hard drive and loaded my Windows ME on it. I can't get the system to recognize anything but a standard PCI graphics adapter (VGA) with 640x480 pixels and 16 colors. I have tried removing the adapter and restarting, and nothing permits me to change the setting. The BIOS only permits VGA (Not SVGA).

Any suggestions? Please EMail me at Rcampbellx@aol.com

    Thank you, Bob Campbell

Welcome to the board. Being that this is a clean install of windows you need to install the video drivers for your video card. Then you will be able to change your video settings.
