Whenever I send email I always add my name to the list of recipients, for some reason Windows mail won't send the message with my email addy on it.

If I remove my name from the list it works. I've checked the settings 3 times to make sure they're correct. They're identical to the settings on my desktop.

    Random thoughts:

Are both computers running the same version of Vista?

Did you just add a new program (or just update one)? If it was working before, I bet something new is the issue...

I just tried on my computer and all went well. I'm using Home Premium...

Both computers are running Vista Home Basic. The one I'm having trouble with is new.

I had this same problem for a while...Come to find out, the one contact that was messing things up - had a bad email address. I had accidently set the address to-> mailtoFriendsName@Yahoo.com... Once I fixed the address, all was well.
