Resolved Windows Mail will not open when emailing photo.

    I open a desktop folder and select a photo to email. I then select to "send to a mail receipient " or "e-Mail ", I then get a window opening asking what size I want the attached file to be. I then select the size I want and press attach, and thats where it all stops. No Windows Mail opens . I have tried doing this with windows mail open or closed, either way I do not get a new Email message opening up with my selected photo attached. Does anybody have any ideas what could be the problem here. My OS is Vista 64 bit. Many thanks.

    Did this just start? Try doing this. Open up WLM and see if you can attach that photo in it. Let us know.

    Typeing in the dark here. I have Windows Mail, not Windows Live, and yes i can open a new message and attach a photo to it. This has been this way for a while now, just that i don't send many messages from this home PC, i usually use the office PC.

    What type of photo? What does it end with? .jepg or .jpg or .something else?

    JPEG photos. But i also have the same problem with other types of files. If i open a desktop folder and try to send a PDF file the same way, i get the same result. No new message opens in Windows mail. I have to open windows mail first and attach the file.
