Every time that I delete received E-mails and later open deleted mails, these same deleted mail are again present. Further clicking Delete, still show same mail weeks later. Can deleted items be deleted permanently?

lj50, you are quite correct this question was posted in March, and since then, still searching for a solution. MS chat said they could solve it at a price. MS Forum, have hinted a few solutions, but none proved a successful solution. That is my reason for again posting on WindowsBBS in the hope that someone found the solution, still trying. Thanks.

Does your Mail delete if you use Shift + Delete keys?

Clicking keyboard Shift+Delete on the open E-mail has no affect. Clicking Shift+Delete keys and Delete using Delete option in Mail deletes the E-mail, but is not permanent as it shows most times at the next reading of Mail.

You've been having trouble for such a long time with Windows Mail why not give up on it and just use your Virgin mail account. Before you drive yourself insane trying to fix the problem.

Very good point, but Virgin sign in is also trouble. My Virgin contact in the past as far back as my old computer, proved a headache. Virgin says it is my problem, their end is fine, same my contract is 50mbs but on average lucky with highest 5mbs. Their response, to this is caused by the sites that I visit or time connected.

Yes. At present checking Delete is correct with Virgin Web site. Only the use of Windows 10 Mail, does both Virgin and outlook.com show not Deleted
permanent,, as Win Mail show all E-mails that where Deleted days after Deletion using Delete in Mail.

Which one is working properly. Your last post is a little confusing. Why do you need three different e mail accounts? Use the one that works the best and get rid of the other two.

As far as the permanent Delete, none of the two Email Accounts, Virgin.com and Outlook.com, both used to receive different E-mail address. It worked efficiently when WML was current but Win 10 made it redundant.

Method 1: Uninstall the Mail app

    1. To run the PowerShell window with elevated permissions, just click on the Start menu, then type PowerShell. Right-click on the PowerShell icon, then select Run as Administrator.

Note: Agree to the UAC prompt.

    2. Copy then paste following command into the PowerShell prompt:

    Get-AppxPackage *windowscommunicationsapps* | Remove-AppxPackage

    3. Hit Enter.

    4. Reboot the PC.

Method 2: To reinstall the Mail app, follow these steps:
    1. Follow the same path on how to open an elevated PowerShell (see step 1 of method 1).

    2. Copy then paste following command into the PowerShell prompt:

    Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers| Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}

    3. Hit Enter. Once the process completes, reboot the PC.

Check if issue persists. I this doesn't work get rid of Windows Mail and be done with it.

Thanks for suggestion, both these where tried out and each time a caption read, Get-AppsPackage not accepted or recognised. Incidentally what is l and its keyboard key? If Win 10 Mail is scrapped, what is an alternative? Thanks.

What about your outlook account. You posted outlook works efficiently without Windows 10 Mail. Why not use just the outlook account. If you can. Uninstall Win 10 mail.

It works with Win 10, to change as you suggest and being honest, I have not a clue in carrying this out.

    Try this first
How to Delete an Email Account from The Mail App in Windows 10:
    1. Open Mail app from Start menu.
    2. In the bottom left corner, click on the Settings button.
    3. From the Settings menu on the right side, click Accounts option.
    4. Click on the Account you want to remove.
Click on the Delete account option.

    Removing Win 10
    1) Open the Start menu, type Windows PowerShell in the search bar.

    2) Right click on the Windows PowerShell and select Run as administrator.

    3) Enter the below command to reinstall the Mail and calendar app.

    get-appxpackage *microsoft.windowscommunicationsapps* | remove-appxpackage

Which account to remove? Both accounts fail to Delete Mail permanently in Win 10 Mail. With regards to Win PowerShell, typing in any reference to [get-appxpackage] has the same result " not recognised as a name of a cmdlet, function, script file or operable program ". *what or what keyboard key refers to before remove-appxpackage. Is it a space or upper letter L? Or?
