Windows loads 8 updates every time I shutdown??

Folks

Every time I shut down, Windows loads 8 updates. The updates are either not installing or the system doesnt see them.

Any ideas??

Download Dial-A-Fix (DAF)

Have XP CD available in case DAF needs a file. Likely will not be needed!

Check all boxes on the screen (clear any restrictions if it shows any)
Then click GO!

When the entire page is finished click the HammerHead at bottom to go to the second DAF page.

Here 1 at a time do the below

Reinstall BITS

Repair Permissions

Watch for any File not found or other errors and make note as this may lead to the fix!

Reboot retest!

Try doubleclicking the yellow icon in your system tray, and doing the custom install. One of the updates may be the Malicious Software Removal tool, and it requires an agreement to the MS EULA (where you click on 'I accept') before it will install.
