Windows Live One Care Update problems

Hey guys. First off great site. The help is awesome!

Alright, the new problem.

I am running a HP Pavilion dv 2000 with Windows Vista (sigh) and I am using Windows Live One Care as my security. I have called Windows support for this problem and they couldn't help me, if you guys can, kudos.

My status is in the red and I cannot update the definitions for the spyware and viruses, and the updates for my windows are also not allowing me to get er done. I don't know what to do. Been trying for a month to fix this, but this is beyond mine and windows support's capabilities to fix. Please help.

Have you tried re-installing it?
