Resolved [Windows Live Mail 2011: can't forward mail with embedded pictures]

If I receive an email with an embedded picture, I cannot forward it with the picture. I get a message that says cannot find pictures, when you send this message the pictures will not be included. Is there a fix to forward embedded email pictures?

 

This may work. If not, you've only wasted a few mouse clicks.

Open Windows Live Mail and click on the message icon's drop-down arrow (the icon at the top left-hand corner).

In the menu that opens, go to Options and in the menu that opens, click on Mail.

In the window that opens, go to the Compose tab and uncheck "Convert messages to photo emails when adding photos." Click OK.

Close WLM and re-open it for the change to take effect.

Let me know if it works.

 

Still get the message that pictures cannot be found and pictures will not be included.

I did a search and there are tons of people who have asked about this problem going back a couple years. I haven't seen a solution.

Yeah, I hadn't found a sure-fire solution either but that was a suggestion I did find and hoped it worked.

I wouldn't used WLM if I didn't need to stay familiar with it because have so many family members using it and constantly needing help with it.

 

I have done a bit more checking and found that the email with an embeded picture can be sent from windows xp, can be sent from gmail.com, but cannot be sent from windows live mail on a laptop where the connection is through a wireless router. I don't know enough about the technicalities but wondered if that might be a reason?

 

I get those once in a while and it is the way that they were sent. You can save them and then attach them and go that route.
