I am using a 2gopc (classmate convertible tablet) with an atom processor and 2 gig ram. It came with XP home which does not have tablet functions, including windows journal which I need, but there was added software to use the pen. I upgraded to Win 7 ultimate but after the upgrade, when I use windows journal (which I use every day in my job) everything works fine until the computer goes into hibernation. After that, I am unable to save the journal file. I click on save and nothing happens. Sometimes journal crashes.

I have tried removing the tablet features, to remove journal, and then restoring them in a hope that it would solve the problem. When that did not work, I reinstalled windows (not a repair installation). I also reinstalled all the drivers etc. The problem persists.

Without journal, I can not use the tablet to do my job. Anyone have any suggestions?

I don't have much to say, since I don't have a tablet, but in your case I would try Microsoft OneNote.
