Windows Help and Support - won't open !

I select it, the hourglass appears then goes out, and the Help and support does not open. If I re-boot, the same. I have not been able to peruse the Help and support for some weeks now. I think it coincides with putting Publisher 2002 on, (which is also responsible for my comp re-booting of its own accord sometimes. - Another irritant.

A couple of things to try. A system restore to a point before the trouble began. Or run the System File Checker tool.

I had the same problem this past weekend. Not only could I not access the Help & Support Center, but I couldn't add new users or access System Information.

I ended up doing a restore of Windows XP Home Edition which corrected all of my problems. You might want to take a look at the posting I wrote to Ossa in the thread "Suggestions for Repairing Windows XP; maybe its what your looking for.
