Windows Firewall & Windows Media Player - problems!

Hi,

I've just discovered at least two problems in my PC configuration:

- when double-clicking on the Windows Firewall icon in Control Panel, following info is displayed: "Due to an unidentified problem, Windows cannot display Windows Firewall settings ".

- I've observed that some programs are unable to connect to the Internet when using "check for update" (for instance "WinZip ") and Windows Media Player cannot retrieve anything directly from the Internet as it claims there is no Internet connection. I'm not sure it has something to do with the failure with Windows Firewall.

Could you please help me out with both of these issues?

Look in the exceptions tab - what's being blocked?
