I have a netbook running Win7 Starter and when I open IE the message windows explorer has stopped working and I have to stop the process to be able to use it again.

I ran sfc /scannow and found that the problem is
Can I run a repair install from the recovery partition or will it end up formatting and reinstalling Windows?

Is there a way to copy the corrupt file from another Win7 install CD (I have Win7 Pro install CD) to fix the corrupt file?

    Thanks
