    Hi,

I have been racking my brains with this puzzle and searching the internet for a solution. I was using my husband's computer tonight, wanting to set up a directory on the computer to share, so that my daughter could get her files off dad's computer through my network.

When I right-clicked and chose the share option for the said folder I got the following error message:

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------
    Windows Explorer
    Error Signature
    AppName: explorer.exe AppVer: 6.0.2900.5512 ModName:sfsshell.dll
    ModVer: 2.2.5.0 Offset: 0001838a
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------

It is very difficult to close it down after this message and I have had Dr Watson pop up and also suffered an error message.

I have used Spybot and there is no apparent spyware or malware of what I know of. I have also done a full scan with AVG 8.0 Free, nothing found. Ran CCleaner and cleaned out the issues, etc that CCleaner found.

Any suggestions would be gratefully accepted.

    Kind regards,

Thank you very much Arie, I had a 'helper' hanging over my shoulder and was disorientated with the forum.

I will download that ShellExView program you suggested and get to work.

    Kind regards,
