    Okay i am totally confused...
    Alright here is the story.
I had the computer out in my living room... And it was working totally fine. Like everything worked nothing was wrong.
I moved my computer into my bedroom... and plugged everything in.. and turned it on.. and everything went bonkers.

I have Windows XP... had my computer built at some local place couple years ago. OKAY well the problem is... went to turn it on.. and it took forever to load up. Then the my cat being the dork she is jumped on the power stick and it shut off..
I've had trouble with it before because there is a switch in the back and it used to get hit alot.. and shut off my computer... so i put tape over it so it wouldnt turn off..
Now when i went to turn it on again.. it brought up that message screen To enter into the three different safe modes.. and the last good configuration and to start up windows. So I hit start up windows. And it would bring up the windows logo, and restart over. not shut down but just restart and bring up that menu again. I dont know what happend... can anyone help??

And why did you not try "Last Good Configuration?" It sounds like the perfect time. :D

On that menu you should also see an option to disable restart on system failure. If you will select that option, then when it fails to start properly, you should get an error screen. Get all the info from that screen and report back.

We apologize for the inconvenience, but windows did not start successfully. A recent hardware or software change might have caused this.
If you computer stopped responding, restarted unexpectedly, or was automatically shut down to protect your files and folders, choose last known good configuration to rever to the most recent settings that worked.
If a previous startup attempt was interrupted due to a power failure or because the power or reset button was pressed, or if you aren't sure what cuased the problem, choose start windows Normally.

    Safe Mode
    Safe Mode with Networking
    Safe Mode with Command Prompt

Last Known Good Configuration *your most recent settings that worked*

    start windows normally

thats exactly what it says for me :(

If,as you say, you've done everything on the Advanced Boot menu and nothing allowed you access to a Windows session, I recommend booting to the XP install CD and opening the Recovery Console. You can run chkdsk /r from there and perhaps get back to bootability. If not you'll have to do a repair install.
