Hi, when im using my removable HDD with win2k, every few mins it comes up and says that ive removed the hardware then i get the error

    Windows - Delayed Write Failed
Windows was unable to save all of the dta for the file \Device\HarddiskvoumeXX\$mft

etc, etc where XX is a number.

I dont know whats causing this.
I dont have power saving set anywhere and the drive isnt being disconnected.
Its not the removable drives fault as it works fine on other win2k computers.

When it does happen, i do still have access to the drive, it happens when i am using it and when im not.

    Any ideas?

    Stuart.

Lots of possibilities - depending on your specific setup.

Go to the Microsoft online help, advanced and search Windows 2000 for delayed write failed, all words, 50 matches. You should see 27 possible situations with the cause and fix for each.
