Windows defender goes off when I shut down my computer. It doesn't come back on when I start up. Is there anything I can do to make it come back on automatically with start up?

    Thank you

    Welcome to WindowsBBS;)

Click on Start->Run and type MSCONFIG
Look in the Startup Tab and place a check mark in Win Defender's box.

In an email - max888 stated:

I'd be interesting to know what you're looking at to determin that it hasn't started...

Look in control panel-> Admin Tools->Services->Windows Defender->make sure it's set to Auto and then click the start button.

Also go to Win Defender's options and ensure the box ' Show icon in Notification Tray' is checked.
