Resolved Windows Defender and Kaspersky

    My AV is Kaspersky Internet Security 2014.
    I have updates for Windows Defender (KB2902907 and KB2949786).

    Should I install them?
    Does WD conflict with KIS?

    Have you got Defender operating?
    If Kasperskey is your only AV operating - you can ignore or install - your choice. Neil.

    I would install them even though you have WD turned off.

    Hi rickduley, Start > Control Panel > Windows Defender > Settings > uncheck Real time protection > Apply > OK.

    If both AV's were operating, you may have had conflicts occurring. Neil.

    I went to Start, entered Defender, clicked on Windows Defender, and unchecked Auto Scanning and Real-time Protection.

    That should fix it, should it not! :)
