i am in a windows\netware environment. so when logging into a machine, you type in your netware password...then it checks the list of users on the machine and if none match it prompts you for your windows password.

however this machine i am setting up prompts you for the windows workstation pw everytime. ive tried setting the default login thru the registry.

    any other ideas?

That's the way it's suppose to work. Netware login logs you into your server and windows login, logs you into the local pc. I think it's setup that way so you can have multi users use the same pc. If they have enough rights they can have their desktop, screensaver, short cuts etc, they way they want it. Each user has their own files / folders etc.
