    Hey,

I have a question about the windows command prompt. The other day i was running a bittorrent client and i wanted to see how many people were actually connected to my pc and internet providers they were using. So i ran a "netstat -a" command. The output was extremely long like i had expected and i would have liked to copied all the output and put into a text file so i could have scoured through it but you cant highlight while inside of cmd.

So i want to know what is the command or sequence of commands i would run so that windows would route the output of the netstat command to a text file. In linux this is really easy and i know how to do it but i'm not sure on the windows end.

    Thanks,

FWIW, you can copy and paste the contents to a text file if you want. Just right click on the text in the window and choose "mark" . Then highlight the text you want just as you would in any other program and then right click on the highlighted text again. This will copy the highlighted text to the clipboard so you can paste it into the app of your choice.
