When starting up my computer I get this alert when the Welcome Page starts, "WINDOWS CANNOT LOAD THE USERS PROFILE, BUT HAS LOGGED YOU ON WITH THE DEFAULT PROFILE FOR THE SYSTEM" (DETAILS), "THE PROCESS CANNOT ACCESS THE FILE BECAUSE IT IS BEING USED BY ANOTHER PROCESS!" I was adding some software but I don't know what I did to cause this!, I have Windows XP SP2, INTERNET EXPLORER 7.0, and windows media player 11. Any Ideas????????????, Jim

Thanks Steve, I tried alot of your suggestions but had no luck. I don't know if I have a corrupted profile, I get a different message. The message I get says the reason windows can't load the users profile is , "the process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process" Do you have any other Ideas???? Jim

Did you try shutting the pc all the way down and turning it back on?
