I would like to use ntbackup.exe with an LTO3 tape drive (HP Ultrium 960), but when I run the program, the "Backup destination" drop-down box is greyed out (and set to "File "). The tape drive itself is recognised by Windows, and I have successfully used it with some trial proprietary software.

Should I be able to use ntbackup with my drive? Is there something that I need to do first (such as start any specific service)?

    Any help would be appreciated.

Arie, thank you for such a quick (and relevant) response.

I'll look into updated drivers, but I think that I already have the latest drivers installed, so it's probable that my tape device cannot be recognised.
