Since the last Microsoft update, my PC has started up with the requirement to activate Windows on every start up.

My PC has been the same structure for at least 2 years and then only a new monitor and graphics card was added. The HD, processor and MB are all still the originals.

This is very frustrating and time consuming every time I start up the PC. Please can somebody tell me how to overcome this?

Do you do the activation each time? And if so, is it successful?

    Eek!

Brilliant thank you Peter. This link gives the problem and solution. I had trawled the Microsoft website looking for the answer but hadn't found this.

The guided help is not available right now so I will have to print out the other instructions and have a go! Scary!
