I am receiving these messages everytime I turn on my computer:

"Windows cannot find setup.exe. This program is needed for opening files of type 'Log File'. "

I also get this Internet Explorer script error:

"file://c:\WINDOWS\Start-Menu\Programs\Startup\sb.hta" and then it proceeds to ask me "Do you want to continue running scripts on this page? "

Is there anyway for me to get rid of these error messages?

Any type of help would be greatly appreciated.

    a6r2c3,

You've got a virus. And, the damage has already been done.

A file with an .hta extension is usually a hypertext markup language document that a virus has used to fiddle with your Registry. You've been infected.

Go to Start > Run > enter msconfig and under the Startup tab try unchecking that entry.

If you actually want to fix the problem, install a virus checker or update the one you have. Then, let it try and repair the viral damage.

    Good luck,

    A6,

Here is something I found out on that virus:

sb.hta is associated with the JS.Seeker virus.

Go to http://www.grisoft.com and get their free anti virus program and see if it can can the virus.

    You can also try http://www.trendmicro.com

    Trendmicro does an online scan.

Both programs I listed have caught things that nieth McAfee and Norton did not catch.

    a6r2c3,

The online scans are a good idea. Symantec's info on the Seeker trojan can be found here.
