 I went into Windows 98 Backup and it ate up the memory on my hard drive. What can I do?

Hi JB - welcome to the Board :)
Do you mean it used up some of the free space on your drive?

If you ran backup that is what you would expect, but little point in backing up to the same drive/partition as your data is on. If that fails all is lost - including your backup.
