I have a few old games that I liked and wanted to use them again, so a few month ago I downloaded Windows XP mode from MS and installed it. It worked fine except it would not recognize my joystick. Now I have found that I can use my joystick. Back then I uninstalled everything, and now I have reinstalled everything. I even downloaded the files again.
So I click on Start, all programs, windows virtual PC, windows XP mode and the first time setup starts. The green progress indicator is moving to the right and just as it comes to the end it tells me: Could not complete setup-Please try again.
I have tried several times, all with the same results.
I also downloaded the files several times and uninstalled several times. Everything looks fine till the last second when the indicator turns red and I get the popup
    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks
    Sven

AFAIK Microsoft's VPC doesn't let you attach a joystick. Use a 3rd party VM like Oracles VirtualBox
