Hey all. It's been quite a while since I was last on here.
I have a Dell Inspiron w/ windows 7. Yesterday evening I was doing a reset to an earlier date to restart the computer. Unbeknownst to me, while in the process of doing this, the power cord came loose. Well to make a long story short. The battery went dead while it was restoring to an earlier date. Now when I turn it on I get a Blue windows screen with flowers at the bottom right of the screen & nothing else. My question is, am I pretty much ******* or is there a way to fix this? I dont have a recovery disk, nor do I have a copy of Windows 7.

There may well be a Recovery Partition - these 2 links explain how to recover the computer to the Factory condition....

    Dell Inspiron - Factory reset
How to Simply Restore a Dell Laptop PC to Factory Settings

As Windows is not booting up you do not have the option to back up your data first as shown in the video.

If your data is important and you do not have a backup you will need to remove the hard drive and connect it to another computer using either a cable or an external caddy and copy the data off.

Then replace the hard drive in the computer, restore to Factory conditions and copy your data back. Any programs installed by you will need to be reinstalled.
