Resolved Windows 7 MS.Essential delay.

    In the past two days, I find MS.Essential 4.3.215.0. is taking at least two minutes to install update regardless size of file. Error started since Malwarebytes has reported an infection called "Candy" stored under Quarantine but deleted by me. Has any other member experienced this error ".

    Two minutes sounds like a short period of time to me. I wouldn't worry about it.

    In Settings, you can adjust how much CPU power is used for updates...

    Yes I fully agree in what you say. Usually, the small size K files are downloaded and installed in seconds. Happy to accept this can be normal
    practise.

    How do you adjust the CPU power settings?

    You go to the settings tab and click the drop down button.

    Open MSE, click the Settings tab, click "Scheduled scan" (if not already selected) and the "Limit CPU usage during scan to:" pulldown is at the bottom of the list on the right.

    I have increase size to 80% as a trial run. My thanks for help received.
