    Hi all.
I am creating an image of a Win7 workstation on a Lenovo M7844-C1U.

I am using RapidDeploy 6.8 to image the hard drive using an external hard drive to USB connection. This set up has worked great for me. Ok, I imaged the PC and then used RapidDeploy to expand that image on the hard drive of an identical PC.
I boot up the PC and get a black screen:

    ****************
    Windows Boot Manager.
WIndows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:

    1. Insert your Windows installation disc and restart your computer.
    2. Choose your language settings, and then click "Next. "
    3. Click "Repair your computer. "

If you do not have this disc, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance.

    FIle: \Windows\system32\winload.exe
    Status: 0xc000000e
Info: The selected entry could not be loaded because the application is missing or corrupt.

    ***********

I tried getting imaging the hard drive of another Lenovo that is still factory fresh and Win7 hasn't done its initial install. I put that image on the same hard drive and I still get a black screen error.

I suppose it is possible that the hard drive could be bad but I only have four PCs and one is a spare. I'd rather not mess up more hard drives (not to say they are crashed ... just won't boot after imaging).

There are no discs with the PCs and any recovery option (if it is built in) does not show on the display.

We may have a windows 7 cd around so I'll be looking for it.

Just wondering what your thoughts are?

The systems have tatoos, contact MS/IBM for a solution or use the disks supplied with the actual system to install.

    I fixed this.
I borrowed a Windows7 Pro DVD (which is what is on the PCs) and booted up. It found an error on the drive, gave the option to fix it, I chose it and it rebooted right up.
