windows 7 display problems

    i have just installed windows 7 (did not upgrade, i went from xp to 7),nad i am using a 42" lcd tv as my monitor. i cannot get the screen resolution and color management to adjust to my monitor. windows is recognizing my tv as a 17in vga standard monitor and i cannot figure out if i need different drivers installed or if i need to adjust something. please help me

    You need to seek out and install the video card drivers....

    Yes updtae your Drivers from Nvidia or ATI. I would not use the WDDM drivers from MS.

    Louie,
    search for Vista drivers for your hardware they should work!?
    Bugger :( the wife wants a 42 or even 50 on the wall, reckons the laptop screen is to small? in the Kitchen :( She can't watch her TV while she is cooking? I thought she had a computer?????
