I installed Windows 7 on a virtual pc 2007 partition. I cannot connect to the internet. Network diagnostics cannot repair the problem either. I show limited connectivity....what can I do?

The network adapter "Local Area Connection" does not have a valid IP configuration. :(

Have you selected the correct adapter in VMC's Settings?

I found that setup mapped it to my linksys router instead of my network adapter, so all is well except for the sound.

Have you installed the Virtual Machine Additional tools? Some errors or problems are fixed by this installation.

First, make sure you are running SP1 of VMC 2007. My version (with SP1) shows 6.0.192.0

As for VMC additions, when you start the VMC, from the menu select Action > Install or Update Virtual Machine Additions.
