I usually use windows 7 32 bit but wanted to have more memory. I did not know very much about windows 7 64 bit. Will it pick up the memory automatically if I add more memory? I have 4 sticks now with 1024 meg on each stick. If I went to 8 meg would the computer run faster and would there be any problems that I should watch?

Earlier windows systems may cause issues with drivers etc but Win 7 does appear to have everything under control.

Yes Win 7 64 bit will see your (+4Gb) memory without an issue just make sure you have 64bit drivers for your hardware.

EDIT: Win 7 32 is not the same as Win 7 64, you will need to upgrade your operating system
