This is a really strange issue that I cannot seem to find support for anywhere. I am running Windows 2003 Enterprise Server on a VPS and the perl.exe process keeps using up more and more RAM (at it's highest it is around 130000KB) which is A LOT of usage. Any idea why it constantly keeps using more and more RAM without recycling itself? Is there a way to force it to recycle the process after x-minutes? I am also using Plesk 8.3.

    Thanks
    -Eric

There could be a number of reasons why perl.exe's memory usage is growing. The most obvious one is there is something wrong with the code that is being run by perl.exe. That is, there is an error or miss-configuration in your perl code that is either grabbing memory when it doesn't need it, or not releasing memory when it is finished. However, the problem could also be in the perl engine itself or the framework you are using with perl.

To get a solution to this you need a perl specialist, who can check your code an its operation and the underlying systems. I suggest you try posting to a specialist perl forum. A google search for "perl forum " returns plenty of options.
