I am using a computer that I just purchased from a friends friend, and the login that I got is restricted to EVERYTHING! I need to know how I can at least install a program on the computer or disable Norton Internet Security because it is really starting to bother me. I have tried cntrl-alt-del...and nothing. I have tried safe mode to get around it and no such luck. One plus tho, is I can download. So, if there is something I could say install onto a disk and then boot from it or something to that nature I would please like to know. Please help out ASAP! Thanks for any help

sounds to me like you should contact that friend of a friend and get the administrator password for it.
Otherwise I would just reinstall the box. I presume your friend of a friend gave you the software on CD.

We follow the same rules as Microsoft re: passwords, product keys, etc. as laid out in Rule #6. In short, no help for either of those to be found here.
