windows 2000 installation

    hi i want to know how to install windows 2000 running computer on windows 98se i don't want to upgrade windows 98 and the installation file of windows 2000 want to use from backup other drive like say d:\i386 because i don't have cd room..
    how can i install windows 2000 on windows 98 clean install not dual bootup.
    and without cd room support just using setup files of windows 2000 from other drive..
    when i runt setup after restarting computer in command prompt i always get message smart drive not detected u want to continos or exact and if i continous it will be dual os which i don't want
    need advise

    k windux i try to use this command b4 installing windows 2000 and i want to ask about it will be dual bootup or clean single os installation because after i format c drive and installing windows 2000 the windows 98 startup still appears it just no windows any more ... mean 2 operatind system windows come during startup...
    so how can i clean install it .

    You have two drives, C: and D:
    Format c: drive, run the smartdrv command and do not restart the computer.
    Go to d: where you have the i386 w2k contents folder and then run the setup.
