windows 2000 install...please help

I had windows me. Trying to install win 2000, I have a windows 2000 setup error. Something like INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE? It also talks about virus and corrapted hard drive.
Now I can't start my win me either.
How can I format my hard drive and install win 2000?

 

You're best bet would be to boot to your Windows 2000 CD-ROM, when you get to the part asking what partition to install on, delete your existing partition(s) and either create your partition(s) the way you want or just point the install to use the "Unpartioned space" which will use the entire drive.


The INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE error is perhaps the most common Windows 2000 installation error. I've seen it in a number of situations so it's hard to tell exactly why it happened in your case without more details.
