Windows 2000 ICONS

    Not sure what happeded but it appears to have started.
    When I startup my Windows 2000 machine...it is taking 5-10min.
    to load the ICONS. It sits there with just the wallpaper, and mouse pointer... for a very very long time before Icons appear...
    Any suggestions would be appreciated...Thanks much! Have a good one.....

    is this with all user profiles on this system, or just the one you normally use? If it's just the one you normally you, you my have a currupt profile. Create a new profile by renaming your old profile directory while logged on as a different user. Win2k will automatically recreate the profile directory. Then just copy the important stuff over from your old profile.
