    Dear Sirs,

Is there a command line utility to use such as Ping which would give you the host name of a particular IP address or vise-versa?

Thank You. Have a great day!!!

Ping -a IP_address will force display of the name if the system has one.

Printers, VAX systems, most Unix systems, and some others do not have a 'name' assigned and won't show anything except the ping results.

Ping hostname will show you the IP and name of the system that responds.

Both the above are the expected behaviors with any version of Windows and with most other OS versions that do IP.
