Windows 2000 alarm

    I am running Windows2000. Just recently an alarm has began to sound every so often. I can make it stop for a while by shutting the system down completly and then restarting the machine. Just using the restart function doesn't work, I have to shut down completly, Then restart. Can anyone help me identify what this alarm is ¿

    My guess is that it's a CPU heat monitor and is giving an alarm about overheating???
