Back in November 2015 my laptop and netbook were offered the 1511 update via Windows Update and were successfully updated.

I have yet to receive the 1511 update on my desktop - all subsequent updates are installed. Check for updates always come back with 'Your device is up to date' which it clearly isn't :(

The only difference between the systems is that the desktop was upgraded from 8.1 and the laptop and netbook both had a clean install of 10.

I know that I could install 1511 from the ISO, but am puzzled as to why it has not been offered via Windows Update nearly 3 months after release.

    Any thoughts?

Not sure if you've seen this before:

"I would like to inform you that there are three situations where the update will not show in Windows Update.
If you have upgraded to Windows 10 less than 31 days ago.
If you have selected to Defer updates in Windows 10 then you won't get this one.
If you have installed and then uninstalled the upgrade, then you won't get it again via Windows Update..

However, if none of the above applies then I would suggest that you to go to the Microsoft software download website and select Upgrade now to upgrade your PC to Windows 10 Version 1511, which includes the November update and check if it helps."

Steve - thanks - Yes - I had seen that info, but on another site. None of those situations apply (running Home so the Defer Upgrades option is not available.

May just bite the bullet and go for either ISO or the software download site, but still curious as to why it has not been offered. Will defer decision for a few days in case any other responses pop up.

Well I bit the bullet :) Updated via the software download site - a seemingly lengthy process as I am convinced that it downloaded the original Windows 10 followed by the 1511 update - but I could be wrong there.

Anyway all went smoothly and now running 1511 - just a few tweaks to put back into place.
