I had a problem with Windows 10 Pro after installing the Anniversary 1607 Upgrade not booting. My screen was displaying all black with a spinning circle of dots. I tried everything to fix it. I hope this solution will help someone in the future. So I tried something out of the ordinary I unplugged the Logitech Anywhere Mouse MX USB Unifier and the machine booted in to Win 10 Pro Anniversary 1607 Edition. I performed a restart booted fine then I Shut Down waited a few hours. Then later with the USB unifier still plugged in the machine boots up normally again. Glad it's fixed. I like Win 10 It's not a bad OS.

I keep seeing more and more problems that center around USB devices and/or ports. I find this very upsetting because each USB revision is supposed to get better and better, but it seems more and more problems develop instead.

It just isn't "universal" as the "universal serial bus" (USB) name implies. :(

It does pay to remember the advice to go back to basics - unplug all unnecessary peripherals and try bareback. Then plug them back in one at a time to diagnose. Good advice LJ.
