hey everybody, my first post on this site so thanks in advance..

so i just bought an 11.6" windows 10 tablet off ebay, used in new condition. Nextbook flexx 11 to be exact.

when i recieved it 3 days ago, it was at the first use setup and everything went well. since i have noticed unusual bugs, like black screen until button press after sign on, or some settings that seem to be maintained by an administrator, some things that dont seem normal, so i want to do a recovery.

i have looked into the built in options but i would prefer to do a clean install via usb with a fresh updated copy from microsoft, is this the best option for me in my case? im not sure of the install method of this tablet, if it is just like any other usb install that would be great.

    for more info
the current filesystem does not look compressed at about 14gb
no drivers from support, i think intel's auto install will be just fine

Hi Jbar2016, Welcome to WindowsBBS.;):) To back up what Evan has told you, have a look at this link and if you read it through - it should give you the confidence to know that it will settle down after the install.
Resolved - Nextbook Windows 10 can't be repaired

I read the second suggested thread prior to starting this thread, and i am experienced in clean installs. I was more concerned about the newer boot options.

I am going to attempt to clean install with the newest updated creation tool, download the iso, the copy it to usb via rufus, formatting as a gpt uefi boot device.

    Update:

Currently installing, if all is good i will list the methods used and mark as solved

The system is back up and running

As i said above here are the steps i took

I downloaded the windows 10 media creation tool, the tool included the aniversary upgrade.

I also downloaded rufus usb creator

When i used the media creator, i selected to create an iso, of 64bit and 32bit.

Once the tool finished i opened rufus and it auto selected my usb drive, in the drop down menus i selected gpt uefi boot setup, and selected the iso to copy.

After that was finished, the usb was ready and the install was a little slow but worked great.

Windows update took care of the drivers and all is good, and now im exploring some of the new feature the the upgrade as well.
