Resolved windows 0x80070570 error

    Hadn't used my Win 7 laptop for a while and saw that there was 91 updates. I started to update and then paused to make a system restore point. Update hadn't created one.

    Got a msg something like this one:
    The restore point could not be created for the following reason: The specified object was not found. 0x800423F4 error. Please try again

    Tried to system restore back to earlier date and it wouldn't take. Friend said to run sfc/scannow, which I did and nothing was found amiss. Tried to undo sys res and it wouldn't go.Then tried a sys restore in safemode. Got the message:
    An unexpected error occurred during system restore (0x80070570).

    Before I screw it up...some more...can anyone give help? thanks

    Hi JAK. I would install the Windows Updates first and then attempt to create a System Restore point after your system is up to date.

    Are the Windows Updates installing successfully?

    Well that did it. All systems go. Did 3 SR points with no problem. Thanks!
