Im running widows vista on my desktop.

Just recently it stopped connecting to the internet. Im using a wireless connection to connect with my router. One day, while i was playing a game it switched all internet off, and booted me off the game. I checked my network connection and it said local only. I was wondering how can i fix this. I have done all power things, shutoff, reset network, even the regedit thing. The weid thing is that im on the same network with my laptop running XP, also other vistas are connected to the network...
    any Help guys????
    The connection is Ipv4
I am using a belkin wireless card. To cable internet. It looks like everything should be fine considering im geting my gateway, and im being assigned an IP.
i have used Windows Network Diagnostics
it said to reset the network adapter, i have done this put the problem still persist

    It says
"Cannot communicate with Primary DNS Server(24.92.226.40)
    Any ideas guys?

When it doesn't connect, run again the above commands & post here.

Also, check the output of tracert sitename, where sitename is a site such as www.CNN.com

I had this problem the other day with a Vista machine, the network driver was playing up. Go into the device manager, delete the network driver and then scan for hardware changes so that it finds it again and see if this resolves the issue.

try using a different wireless card to ensure it isn't a hardware problem with your belkin wireless card.

Yea, sounds more like a hardware problem to me. It is not a DNS issue, as it successfully 'translates' www.google.com to 74.125.67.100
